I bought this in conjunction with the fire steel. While the fire steel is excellent I found the Maya dust simply doesn't work. Trying to light it with the fire steel was impossible, in fact simple cotton wool lights much more easily. I now use a product called Fire Starting Tinder produced by Ultimate Survival. It lights easily from sparks produced by the fire steel and burns for a long time allowing twigs etc to be added. I recommend EE33 stocks this instead of the Maya dust.
